Flight Reports and landing scores
Every GPS flight gets a Flight Report: the headline numbers, anything worth a look, and a landing score when your field has a runway.
How to start
- Open a GPS flight and tap Flight Report (it's also in Flight Replay's menu).
- Check the headline numbers - time in the air, distance, height, top speed, peak G - and the weather at take-off.
- Read Worth a look for anything unusual: voltage drops, battery sag, weak signal, failsafes or hot parts.
- No landing score? Draw a runway on your flying site's map and your GPS flights there are scored out of 100.
Tips
- Landings are judged on lining up, the centreline, the touchdown zone, a stable approach and a gentle touchdown - with a bonus for a crosswind.
- Flights that look like they ended in a crash open a Black box with what probably happened in the last 30 seconds. Open it on any flight from 'Something went wrong on this flight?'.
- Download the GPS track as GPX or KML, or print the report or save it as a PDF.
- Pro: compare the flight with the same model's earlier flights.
